Overall still an ok place, but could be better. Would stay there again if we had to, but will be staying elsewhere on our next trip back.
We slept well, beds & pillows are comfy, that's what we needed.
The reason I'm reluctant to give it 5 stars is, it was advertised on one screen as from $54, but the room we got (double bed room, nothing fancy) was $102.00. We were tired and had been at the mayo clinic all day & them some, so we just accepted it.
Superior service, safety, convenience, and comfort are the stalwart expectations for any home away from home. The Quality Inn & Suites Mayo Clinic Area, exceeded all expectations. After my experience, which was my first, I will only be staying at the Quality Inn & Suites Mayo Clinic Area.
Great place to stay in Rochester. Very clean. All rooms are suites and are a fantastic value. Nice breakfast, eggs are frozen products but a good quality. Nice variety. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Has courtesy van to Mayo Clinic so don't have to drive there. One block off the main street but easy to find and quiet. Highly recommend it.
This hotel is a GEM. You won't see it driving down the main streets of Rochester. Like all beautiful precious finds, it is hidden. However, it is worth going off the beaten path to find it and have an enjoyable, safe stay. It was mere minutes from the clinic, and when we returned to the room after the long, harrowing days at the hospital, it was just like home. Rest came quickly without worry of disturbances or safety.
The toilet became clogged. However, this was quickly remedied within five (5) minutes of the phone call to the front desk informing them of the problem. There was a maintenance person at our door within five (5) minutes. They were efficient and professional and clean. I was overwhelmingly impressed.
This little efficiency is pretty nice. There are no pots or pans, glasses, silverware, etc., but the bedroom is big, the colors are refreshingly bold, in the room we were in.
I am disabled and required a shower bench; I was shocked that not only did the hotel provide the seat for me, but I had to wait less than ten (10) minutes for her to bring it to my room. It was in pristine condition, and I was able to take my showers safely.
Great rooms sizes for multi-day stays with comfortable beds. Room needed some attention though. Bathroom floor and tub looked like they need a good scrubbing, the recliner was broken and the outlets didn’t work very well. Breakfast was sub-par even for the standard hotel offerings.
This hotel was great! It doesn't look very appealing from the outside, but it is a great hotel for the price. The rooms are 2 times the size of any normal hotel room. The staff was very helpful, and overall the hotel was very clean. I will definitely stay here every time I go to Rochester!
The breakfast was nice, but the coffee provided in the breakfast room tasted like sweet water...very, very weak. We went back to our room and made coffee there, it was good.
