The first time we stayed there. We had no water pressure on the forth floor. It was a clean hotel staff friendly. Then we booked again in October. Water pressure was fine. When booked we asked to be away from elevator so we didnt have to put up with the dinging. Guess what right by elevator. They put us down the hall. The room had an odor to it. Then they booked a bunch oh kids on our floor. Just getting out of hospital. I think they should of thought ahead and put us somewhere else. The walls are very thin. Do i need to say more. Hopefully will not need Mayo services. If so we will not stay there.
Stayed here many times on several occasions and I would never stay anywhere else! Fantastic staff that are always smiling and super polite. Breakfast is excellent eggs sausage muffins bagels toast and jelly orange and apple juice fruit cereal waffles mini pancakes 6 types of coffee several yogurt flavors breakfast burritos. A employee on hand keeping everything stocked clean. Beds are comfy and they allow pets. Laundry pool WiFi work out room computers shuttle etc... the rates are cheap considering the amenities and staff.
There are many aspects of this motel that were good. Very clean rooms, well maintained, super staff. Some of the other minor complaints written in the reviews are valid. ie: noise from hallway, barking dogs, poor water pressure in shower. The main reason for this poor review is that I had flown into Rochester for a Mayo Clinic appointment just like many folks. When I called to make reservations I specifically asked whether there were places near by to eat that I could walk to since I would be there without a car. I was assured that there were many places very near. Lets start with the fact that the closest place is a Subway Sandwich shop that is about a half mile walk away. There are a small hand full of places that are between a half mile and one mile away (McDonalds). To get there you have to cross a busy 5 lane road with no cross walk signals and other busy roads without cross walk signals. I was lucky enough that I was able to walk these distances with some effort but I know that most folks or patients could not have walked that far. Without having a car or be willing to pay for a cab to go out to eat this is NOT the place to stay. I walked around for about an hour and finally settled on Subway for dinner and I hate Subway. So unless you have a car available to travel to a restaurant you probably wouldn't want to stay here. I certainly won't stay here again if I need to go to Mayo.
Clean updated rooms. very nice staff. Ended up here for $9 more than the Days Inn which had stains and hair all over the blankets. Highly recommend this place and will look for more places like this in the future. Plus, big nice pool!
Nice for the price. Newly built so everything is in good shape. Breakfast was surprisingly good! Only issues were that this is a pet friendly hotel and it seemed like everyone on the first floor had a dog. (Which is where we were because they were out of rooms on all other floors). Pool temp was very cold and hot tub was lukewarm at best. Satisfied but not highly satisfied.
