Purchased 2 gps devices for $300. Ended up needing to return them. They told me not to take it to the store but rather they would send me a label and envelope to send it back. Waited and waited for the refund. They claimed to never have recieved them. Out the $300 and if you google Best Buy you will find they lost a class action lawsuit for this exact same reason. I have not and will not ever shop Best Buy EVER again!!
I have been a customer of Best Buy for decades. From Chicago, Savage, MN, Council Bluffs, IA, Omaha, NE and Rochester, MN. I always buy my cameras, computers, monitors, lenses, storage devices, tablets and accessories at Best Buy. It's not the price, but the trust I place in the staff. I call it the Best Buy culture. If a new person doesn't know the answer they are quick to get me someone who does. Huzzar!
I have tried to purchase computers from this Best buy on three different occasions. Though their computer system says they are in stock not once has that been true. After spending hours on their website reading reviews and making a decision which one to buy I just for the third time now in about 6 months drove a half hour down to the store because the Best Buy website told me the item I wanted was in stock. Once in the store I asked the employee that approached me and he checked and confirmed they had one and that he would go grab it for me. After waiting 15 minutes for an employee to search for it he came back once again empty handed saying they didn't actually have any in the store. My only other option was that he could instead order one and wait about a week to get it to the store. I could do the same thing myself on Amazon and have it in two days and probably cheaper at that. There is a good reason brick and mortar stores are dying off and this serves as a prime example. Save your time (and probably money) and order what you want online. From my experiences so far that will save you a lot of time, gas, and extreme amounts of frustration. I gave them three shots to just have a product they said they did in stock and each time left more angry after I got the same lame excuse and was then pushed to buy something far more expensive they actually had in stock.
Helpful sales staff, with no pressure sales. Gave reasonable explanations of technical topics and helped me make the right choice for my budget and needs.
Wide variety of products but I know more about their products than some of their staff do. Do your own research before you go.
