The staff is always very helpful without being pushy. It's the only furniture store that I shop at now.

We recently ordered a reclining love seat and so far the experience has been very good. We talked to one sales person and decided on the item but needed to take fabric samples home. After we decided on the fabric we went back, ordered the item using a different sales person but making sure the original sales person got commission for the order. I will look to update the review once the order is delivered.

Slick salespeople that you can't trust--say one thing one day, then when the item arrives the charges are more than they claimed. Store manager is another slick talker. These guys just want to make a quick buck, make claims that aren't true, think customers are dumb, and don't keep verbal commitments made. Don't trust them, get everything in writing first, and when they claim it's on "sale price" be skeptical--go look at previous sale prices.
The Rochester Slumberland is a joke of a business. It is a franchise store and the manager Josh seems to think that he doesn't need to follow any of the corporate rules or policies. I have witnessed this poor management first hand in my interactions with them and have heard many negative things from friends as well. As other reviewers have mentioned, they treat their employees horribly- disrespecting and berating them in front of customers, and giving them very little guidance and consistency when it comes to store policies and procedures. This leads to a lot of confusion and mix up with customers because the employees are never sure what the real policy is. Additionally, while a few of the salesmen are fantastic, this poor management seems to leave others apathetic and rude toward customers. Shop at a different furniture if you can!!
