While I never give five stars for anything, that definitely doesn't refect poorly on Matik. They acquired management duties while I was already a tenant and they inherited a lot of headaches. Jill was fabulous in helping me. Tom was also invaluable in helping me.
I have been working with Tom and Michelle for almost a year now and these are the things that I've found within the Matik's Team: integrity, honesty, personal responsibility, hard work and intelligence. I trust Tom's advice. Tom and Michelle know the Rochester, MN market very well. They have been fair and professional with all my tenants. I strongly recommend Matik Management.
Jill has been a delight to work with. She always has a listening ear and resolves any issues that arise as quickly as possible. She is a positive person and very friendly. Jill has worked hard to get our townhouse rented early since we recently bought a house. She ensures everything is taken care of and sends emails to the entire office to keep everyone in the loop.
My 2nd review. I have never lived somewhere more stressful. Matik has a maintenance company it uses, but the apartment I live in has their own. I have constantly had pull hairs pretty much to get anything done maintenance wise and when it is done it's not always done very well. We recently had to put in multiple requests to get our washer and dryer fixed, they came and got them and told us a week tops. We get it back about 3 weeks later (and with me and my wife and 2 kids that was very hard) and it was an even older set that was okay for a couple days but now the dryer is shaking and the washer is leaking all over. This is just one of the MANY problems we've had since we have moved in. And on top of that when I call some of matik staff is very understanding and respectful but many treat us as if we're being ridiculous and don't take us seriously and are disrespectful. All I ask is to have my HOME respected to the standard that their houses are held to. Signed, a very unhappy tenant.
My initial experience with Matik was extremely positive. Michelle was very helpful and had an answer to any issues or hurdles I faced as I was new to the rental business, She was on time and professional in her approach and handled a couple of ugly problems for me. She pointed out both the strengths and weaknesses of the property . Up to the point I started to work with her I was very unsure of myself and she assured me that their was an answer to every question. In the end I ended up selling the property so working with with Matik didn't happen. I can assure you that I reviewed several property management firms and Matik stood out. I also got a very positive recommendation from a professional property management firm located in the Twin Cities. DJ
