These are normal limitations of a small store, it's just frustrating since the online Stride Rite store is huge - would be nice to be able to try all those options!
Every time I've been here the service has been great and my kids get to try a wide selection of shoes to find the perfect fit.
My kids have wide feet and no shoes from other stores ever fit right because of this. This store is wonderful and in my opinion has a very good, diverse selection. The staff has always been helpful from the time we walk in the door. They measure our child's foot and bring out what they have in that size, which is usually at minimum 9 pairs (more than I've found in most dept stores). Other than the time our child takes deciding which shoe they like best, we are in and out of the store in less than 15 minutes! I would recommend this store to anyone, and especially those with hard to fit lil feet!!
Fair selection, poor service! Virtually every time I set foot in this store I leave annoyed. Sales staff seems to be trained to ignor customers if they are helping some one else. Hey, I don't need you to tie my kids shoe for me, just run back and get the size so I can get out of there. Have left in a huff waiting for service, one sales lady even told my preschooler to "move!"so she could set shoes down for another family. Dragged all my kids in to the store last year so my daughter could try on shoes she saw advertized on tv only to be to told they were not going to be stocking them. Robeeze on the wall appear to be styles from several years ago. Lack of quality kid's shoe options in Rochester will not force me back in to this location again. I would rather take my chances online shopping.
I love Stride Rite shoes for my toddler and we've been getting them since she learned to walk. This is a small store with one or two staff working, so it can get crowded quickly. The selection on the walls seems really good but they are not stocked fully. So every time we've been in we've had to choose based on what they have in my child's size (often only a handful of styles) instead of picking a shoe and then getting the correct size.
