Really great experience. I was in and out in half an hour! The staff was professional and kind, and the medication they prescribed me is working well. Make sure you read the list of conditions that they cover, so you know if you should go here or to your regular doctor.
It is a good outlet to either waiting days, if not weeks, on an appointmen time at the main pediatric clinic or to the urgent care for anything non-urgent. So don't expect anything more then a nurse's reassurances and confirmations for light illnesses.
Don't waste your time....I had a throat culture done and was told to call and get results and if positive they would send a script. I could never get through on the number they gave me. I finally called internal med and they gave me the results which were positive and they had to get an on call physician to write a script. No way to get a hold of Mayo Express Clinic. The culture was done at 8am and I finally got this straightened out by 5pm otherwise I would of had to wait another day to get it resolved.
The only issue I have with it is if the number of patients gets to certain level, they will just put a "we will not take-in anymore appointments" sign. Then you are all stuck. And there is no number to call to check if they are accepting patients or not. So don't assume it is always available.
I was seen twice within a week, both times told it was viral so they told me all sorts of over the counter remedies, the first time my asthma was the issue so I got steroidal inhaler, and nebulizer treatments! This time I went in from the same cold with a sinus infection and an ear infection, the doctor told me again it was viral.... How the hell can you tell that it's viral just by looking at me? We argued around and round about how I get an ear infection every time I get a cold since I was a child, again and again was told it was viral and that they have learned a lot in the last few years. I'm guessing that I don't know my own body, that I have lived in for 41 years and I don't know what fixes my ear infections.... Finally she prescribed me some ear drops with antibiotics... I'm betting my ear will feel a lot better by tomorrow evening.... Do not waste your time or money at Mayo Clinic... You could have a severed limb and they would tell you it is just a scratch and put a band-aid on it!!!
The experience was fine, just know that Google lists this as an "Urgent care center", and it is not.
Terrible follow through....
