Upon entering we were told about a Buy 4 Get the 5th item free sale on that day. I am heavily into retail as a self-employed multi-store owner and if I ever tried to pull what they tried to pull on me, I would not be in business anymore. I had 6 items. A 12, a 10, a 10 a 10, an 8 and a 6. The cashier rung me out and told me I was getting the 6 dollar item for free. I asked her why I was not getting the 8 dollar item for free and she said that it didn't work that way, that your cheapest item was the free one.
We went there on a family shopping trip on Sunday, April 9. We walked in and were greeted by 2 employees. They were friendly enough, I will say that. I also thought the store was more organized than its neighboring competitor. I was impressed with their shoe selection and the selection of larger sized items, items that people would actually want to buy. It shows they are more selective with their purchasing.
I will not shop here out of principle now. The one employee (who appeared to be in charge) was listening in, I saw her turn and look at me but she did not jump in to take part of the conversation I was having with the other employee. I wonder why??
I proceeded to explain that if I had only 5 items that my 8 dollar item would have been free and then my 6 dollar item would be a full priced item. She had trouble with this concept so I ended up asking her to do two separate transactions. This worked out the way it should have, but I feel it was a stupid test. I passed! I wonder how many other people had let this happen to them?
I really enjoy this kind of thrift store experience, the prices are pretty decent. However, I am rating this due to their customer service. Majority of the employees are very unfriendly. It is kind of frustrating because for some people social interactions can be very difficult. A simple greeting and at least trying to make an effort with customers can really make a difference.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Prices were great. I would definitely look here first when shopping
Terrible customer service. Very unwelcoming. First time (And last time) ever walking into the store to try and sell some items, I was told that it would be more than an hour before they could even look at the three small bags of clothing that I had brought. Very dissatisfied that Monica was unable to prioritize to assist a first time seller and potential customer. Now I will not be shopping there ever.
I love this store, the employees were so nice to me and helpful. I love the different sizes they offer and I can always find jewelry I like. I've never walked out of the door empty-handed. Thank you for a great store
