Beautiful space - could bring in more diversity of exhibits. Turning more into an event spade than a gallery and art center. Hope it doesn't continue that way! There's a lot of potential.
Not a large offering but it emphasizes local artists and community participation in the arts. Inspirational eye candy! Worth the time!
I attended an event at the Rochester art center the other week and have been mulling over a rating based on my experience with an employee. Now if I were to rate my experience based on the beautiful building alone I would give five stars. I didn't think I was even going to rate it at all until I read that other reviewers had similar issueses. I'm writing a letter to the board. When I asked where all the art was I was made to feel like I said something offensive. I was treated quite poorly.
Great potential and new leadership will bring together a new life for this center. A city without appreciation for the arts is dead. Need more memberships. Saw Jack and the Beanstalk here years ago. Was terrific. Great sets good sound...better than the movies...attend a show.
Beautiful wedding venue! Highly recommend!
