Blue Moon Ballroom is a gem in Rochester! I invited a bunch of friends to join me there for a Latin night to celebrate my birthday. Fred let us use one of the semi-private rooms so we could sit and talk if we wanted to. But who would want to sit and talk when there was such great music and dancing to be had??? The space is really nicely decorated and lit, and the sound system is great. The music itself was terrific. We had a salsa lesson for about an hour first. We learned enough basic moves to allow us to be able to dance to every song that was played. Fred and Myrna are great dancers and gracious hosts. I've only been to a Latin night, but they host all kinds of different genres of music with live bands and DJ's, and there's always a lesson beforehand. It's a GREAT deal for a dance lesson and a night of dancing.
Sue and Everyone at the Blue Moon that was involved with the our daughters wedding, justed wanted to say Thank You for all that you all did to make her day so special! Everything went so smoothly! Sue, Emily, Rocky, Rachel an everyone else that was there helping did such an amazing job!! I would highly recommend anyone having a wedding in the future to use the Blue Moon as they will not be disappointed, as they far exceeded my expectations!!
My daughter's wedding reception was held at Blue Moon Ballroom this past weekend. This was an exceptional venue! The staff was friendly and helpful and kept the evening moving along at a nice pace. They couldn't have been nicer, and I would recommend Blue Moon for any occasion!
Warm & inviting atmosphere and a great dance floor! The lighting is fun, romantic & more than you normally expect. A nice bar set up as an option. Also, fun dance instruction with positive hosts.
This reception/dancehall has all of the character and ambiance you could ask for in planning a special event. There is a large dance floor, with a state of the art light and sound system that is unmatched in the area. The owners are very helpful and accommodating too. The Blue Moon Ballroom also offers a variety of dance classes. My wife and I had a lot of fun learning the fox trot and plan to go back for more. If you haven't been to the Blue Moon yet, you must check this place out!
