The crew at the Rochester store really did great in finding a perfect "surprise" bicycle for a gift for my husband. They listened to all of the ideas I had in mind and the type of cycle that would fit my budget and the needs of my husband's riding style. Both sales and service were helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable about the products. The bike was a perfect fit. I'll return for my own "ride" some day!
I have a bike that has been sitting for 7 years while I was in the south - and now it's time to get back on the road. I went to another Bike Shop in town and wasn't thrilled with the quote for a bike that did not need as much work as was being listed. So I was told by several people "Go to Erik's" and I did.
They checked the bike over, established that the chain needed cleaning and a front brake alignment, and confirmed other then that it was in great shape.
Well Erik's is Erik's so I won't comment on the price. About this particular store - Quality service at the store. The store has a huge collection of bikes right from kids bike to professional race bikes. Staff is very friendly and warm. They gave me good tips on how best to maintain bikes. They traced when and from where was the bike purchased - was the service warranty used - and extended it for another year too.
Just left Eriks, bought another bike for my son!
Thrilled with the service. Clean, bright, easy to shop, and really nice people. You don't need to make any other stops. Just go to Erik's.

I bought a fat tire bike and Erik's spent the time to really fine tune it, they even tore it apart for me to ship to Florida to get away from the -14 temperatures for a few days!
I saw a bike that I wanted to get from Erik's online; however, I live in Indianapolis. When I called the Rochester location about getting the bike, Evan helped me out a lot and made it possible for me to get it. It would have been easy for him to say "I'm sorry, we can't help you", but he didn't. I wish there was an Erik's in Indy so that I could do business with them on a regular basis, but I definitely recommend them for anyone who has a shop in their area.
When you walk in you just know you are in a place that loves bikes and people who ride them. On one of the first really nice days of the year, they were amazingly busy, and I still was greeted right away and they took care of me.
